• Basics of radio news writing
• From field reporting to studio production
• Common pitfalls (e.g., avoid time-sensitive words, use approximate numbers)
• Techniques for gathering information and writing reports
• Bridging professional terminology and cultural context for Indonesian audiences

Challenges in News Broadcasting – Sharing Session

• Cross-cultural challenges in news production (e.g., LGBTQ+ issues, election coverage)
• Analyzing misinformation in Taiwan and Indonesia
• Choosing the right tone: formal vs. conversational language
• Audience interaction and risk management – responding to online criticism and public opinion

News and Program Interview Techniques (14:20–14:50 Lecture / 14:50–15:10 Group Discussion / 15:10–15:50 Group Feedback)

• Selecting interviewees and preparing outlines
• Conducting interviews with limited time

• Tips: face rejection confidently, go off-script, plan story flow
• Group exercise: plan and discuss interview outlines (e.g., with Taiwan’s President William Lai, Indonesia’s Environment Minister, or the President of Indonesia)
