Fall 2026 Outgoing Exchange Program Application Schedule and Important Reminders

Students who intend to apply for the overseas exchange program for the 115-1 (Fall 2026) semester are advised to refer to the application schedule below and pay special attention to the following points:

  • The online application deadline for this round of exchange is December 22, 2025. If your language proficiency test score will expire on or before December 22, 2025, or if you believe your score is too low to be accepted by a good university, we strongly recommend that you book a language test as soon as possible. Every semester, there are students who fail to apply because they did not obtain the required language certificate. Please avoid letting this happen again.
  • Before the new round of application guidelines is released, you may refer to the previous semester’s brochure as a reference.
  • A TOEIC score of 550 or above qualifies you to apply for self-funded exchange, but you must still meet the partner university's selection criteria in order to choose it as a preference.
  • To find out which universities you can apply to, please refer to the OIA website → Outbound → Partner Universities, and then select your desired country.
  • The second-round preference selection is only open to applicants who withdraw from the first-round selection.
  • The list of available universities, the number of available slots, and the selection criteria of partner universities generally do not change significantly each semester, but adjustments are still possible. You are advised to prepare several preferred options.
  • For schools in Japan and Germany, the academic calendar differs from Taiwan (Fall semester: October to March / Spring semester: April to August). Students applying for exchange to these countries should be mindful of the course alignment with Taiwan Tech’s schedule.
  • Outgoing Exchange Study is a program for taking course at Taiwan Tech’s partner universities. When selecting a university, you should consider not only the partner university's selection criteria but also whether there are enough professional courses available, rather than basing your decision solely on your preferred country or city.
  • Exchange-related announcements will be published on the OIA News, Exchange Student Application System, or sent to your Taiwan Tech student email (or the email address you provided in the system). Please check your email regularly. If you have questions about the application, feel free to contact the Office of International Affairs (OIA). Word-of-mouth information is often inaccurate—please verify with the OIA directly.
  • Graduate students who wish to apply must upload a Letter of Consent from their advisor to the system before the application deadline. Failure to do so will be regarded as ineligible, and the application will not be forwarded to the department for review.
  • For other exchange-related information, please refer to the OIA website → Outbound → FAQ.
  • The link for the Online Application Info Session will be announced separately.
