Software Engineer Intern | Part-time / Full-time | Taipei

We are looking for a Software Engineer Intern to help contribute to the development of our AI-assisted online rehab therapy services enabling more effective speech & language improvement for children.
 

Must-Have Qualities:

● Hands-on experiences in Web Service frameworks and technologies such as Ruby-on-Rails, React.js, or Node.js

● Hands-on experiences and knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL

● Able to read/write/speak Mandarin Chinese & English (you will be working with teammates globally who do not speak Chinese)

Nice-to-Have Qualities:

● Current enrollment in a related BS (Year 3+) or Masters degree in Computer Science or related fields (e.g. engineering, data analytics)

● A strong interest in health or education 

● Strong logical thinking abilities

● Passionate about programming, innovation, and solving challenging problems

● Hunger to learn and to experiment (and be willing to pivot according to data)

● Bonus points if you have：

○ In-depth understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures and algorithms, operating systems, networks, databases, etc)

○ Hands-on experiences in CircleCI, AWS, Jira, GraphQL, or Typescript

Additional Details:

● Time Commitment: flexible; minimum 20 hours per week

● Compensation: unpaid, but a stipend will be provided depending on experience and time commitment

● Location: Onsite (Taipei office) / Hybrid. The candidate will be working on a development team distributed between Silicon Valley and Taiwan, and a larger team spread out across North America and Asia.
