Due to the travel ban and the uncertainty caused by COVID-19, Taiwan Tech has to cancel the 2022 Spring incoming exchange programs.
This was a very difficult decision, but under the current circumstances there’s no other choice.

The Taiwan government has implemented very strict COVID-19 prevention regulations, and closed the borders for international visitors. Currently, the government only allows degree students and exchange students under special national scholarship programs to enter Taiwan. Unfortunately, our exchange programs do NOT belong to these categories. The OIA has been in constant discussions with the Ministry of Education on this issue, but sadly it seems very unlikely that the current regulations will be changed for the 2022 spring semester. 

This is definitely very frustrating news for all incoming students and coordinators from both sides. Taiwan Tech is watching the developments and hope that the regulations will be eased soon. We are looking forward to resume our exchange programs once the travel ban will be lifted!
