Warm greetings from the University of Seoul (UOS)!

We are pleased to introduce the upcoming Seoul International Winter School (SIWS), which will take place in Seoul, South Korea, from February 9 to 22, 2027.

This two-week program offers an engaging combination of Korean language classes, Korean studies lectures, and hands-on cultural activities. It is open to students from all universities with various academic backgrounds.

We warmly invite students from your institution to participate in this exciting winter program and explore Korean culture in one of Asia's most dynamic cities.

📌 Program Overview 

• Program Dates: February 9–22, 2027 

• Korean Studies Lectures (Morning) : Topics include K-Pop, K-Drama & Movies, Korean Cafés, Food & Drink Culture, UNESCO Heritage Sites, and more.

• Korean Language Classes (Afternoon) : Intensive Korean Language classes based on students' proficiency levels.

• Cultural Activities : Field trip, welcome/farewell parties, “Design Your Own Seoul”(Free Tour), interaction with Korean Peer Advocates (PAs).

• Housing: On-campus accommodation is included in the program fee.

• Academic Credits: Students who successfully complete the program will earn 3 UOS academic credits and receive an official academic transcript.

💰 Application Period & Program Fees 

•  Students from UOS Partner Institutions 

- Application Period: October 1, 2026 – January 8, 2027 

- Program Fee: 1,700,000 KRW (approx. 201,500 JPY / 1,280 USD)

• Students from Non-Partner Institutions 

1) Early Bird Application: October 1, 2026 – December 1, 2026 

- Program Fee: 1,900,000 KRW (approx. 225,000 JPY / 1,430 USD)

2) General Application : December 2, 2026 – January 8, 2027

- Program Fee: 2,200,000 KRW (approx. 260,000 JPY / 1,650 USD)

The program fee covers registration, tuition, cultural activities, and on-campus accommodation. Please note that airfare, meals, and personal expenses are not included.
