Employment Notice for a Foreign English Teacher

To implement the "Program for Expanding Bilingual Experimental Classes in Senior High Schools for the 115th Academic Year," National Beimen Senior High School is seeking to recruit 1 foreign English teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year (August 25, 2026 (or the actual date of employment)– July 31, 2027). Details regarding working hours, job responsibilities, salary, benefits, qualifications, application procedures, and the selection schedule are as follows:

1. Working Hours & Responsibilities

• Working Schedule: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (same as regular teachers).
• Job Responsibilities: Co-teaching bilingual courses with local subject teachers, co-planning lessons, drafting bilingual lesson plans, providing administrative support, participating in school meetings and bilingual activities (creating a daily bilingual learning environment on campus), and guiding students in learning presentations and competitions.

2. Teaching Hours & Courses

• Teaching Hours: 20–22 teaching hours per week.
• Courses: Cross-disciplinary and experimental courses co-taught with local teachers, including Physical Education, Music, Fine Arts, Health and Nursing, as well as experimental courses designed for our experimental class, such as: Salt-land Chronicles: An AI Odyssey of Geography and Culture, From Classics to Sustainability: Exploring the Intersection of Literature and the SDGs, Museum Guided Tour, Local Human Rights Issues and International Human Rights Development, Simple Ways to Talk About SDGs, and Socioscientific Issues.

3. Monthly Salary (First Year of Employment)
(Salary is determined according to the "Table of Standard Salary Rates for Foreign English Teachers")

• Bachelor's Degree: NT$69,880 / month
• Master's Degree: NT$77,960 / month
• Doctoral Degree: NT$81,360 / month

4. Benefits

• Performance bonus, overtime teaching pay (for hours exceeding basic load), airfare subsidy, housing allowance, and insurance.

5. Qualifications
(Must satisfy Items 1 and 2, and fulfill either Item 3 or Item 4)

1. The applicant's country of passport citizenship must have English as an official or prevailing language, as recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, R.O.C.
2. Holds a bachelor's degree or higher (Accredited universities or colleges are limited to those listed in the Ministry of Education's Foreign University Reference List.)
3. Applicants who have completed relevant teacher training/education programs at a university.
4. Holds a TESOL / TEFL / CELTA certificate issued by a domestic or foreign university recognized by the competent educational authority.

6. Application Documents Required

1. One completed application form.
2. Copy of passport (front and back).
3. Copy of highest degree diploma.
4. Copy of TESOL / TEFL / CELTA certificate OR Supporting documents proving completion of relevant teacher education coursework at a university.
5. Police Criminal Record Certificate (Applicants apply to the police department of each municipality or county (city) government for a certificate proving that they have no criminal record, often referred to as Police Clearance Certificate. If not obtained prior to the application deadline, it may be submitted upon reporting for duty after admission).
6. Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) / Alien Permanent Resident Certificate (APRC), work permit, or residence permit based on family joining.
7. Proof of previous work experience in schools or government agencies (optional / if applicable).

8. Selection Process & Important Schedule

• Openings: 1 official position, 3 alternates.
• Initial Document Review Notification: All applicants will be notified of the document review results, regardless of whether they pass the initial screening.
• Interview Date: Tentatively scheduled for Monday, August 24, 2026.
• Result Announcement: Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
• Note: If no applicants meet the school's requirements during the interview process, the position may remain vacant.
